What to mix with Whey protein powder?
Q. I brought the chocolate whey protein powder, and to be honest they taste horrible! I mixed it with milk like they told me to and seriously I can't take the smell(taste like like my medicine). So I've tried mixing with my smoothie. Peanut butter smoothie+whey. Strawberrybananna+whey, but they don't really taste that good. Does anyone know what I should try that I can take in and something sweet but not too sweet:) thanks.

A. Say hello to the cinnamon and good bye to the yucky taste. My husband and I drink protein shakes everyday. Believe m, wee have tried everything to get rid of the taste. Some proteins out there are impossible though. Try Tetrabolic-it's good for you and the banana taste pretty good. We also mix half chocolate and half banana protein together:) good luck

Can I uses 2% reduced fat milk mix with whey protein powder?
Q. I brought a gallon of 2% reduced fat milk and I don't want to waste it. So is it ok to use 2% reduced fat milk with whey protein powder. I heard a lot of people say, it will be best if you uses skim milk or non fat milk.

Is Reflex Instant Whey(protein powder) suitable for vegetarians even though it has Bovine Serum Albumin in it?
Q. Reflex website states it is but the bovine concerns me. Is there a truely suitable whey protein powder/ bar?

A. No, that wouldnt be suitable-an animal died for that. I personally dont think protein powders are a necessary part of a vegetarian diet, if you eat a well balanced variety of foods. Nutritional yeast is an excellent source of B vitamins and protein. By the way, that bovine "serum" is derived from the fetus of cows. Cant imagine why that needs to be an ingredient in anything! If you feel you need a protein powder, try a rice based one. Almond milk is a great source of protein and makes a great smoothie with a banana and some fresh berries.
