Wedding traditions and customs vary greatly between cultures, ethnic groups, religions, countries, and social classes. Most wedding ceremonies involve an exchange of wedding vows by the couple, presentation of a gift (offering, ring(s), symbolic item, flowers, money), and a public proclamation of marriage by an authority figure or leader. Special wedding garments are often worn, and the ceremony is followed by a wedding reception. Music, poetry, prayers or readings from Scripture or literature also may be incorporated into the ceremony. From Wikipedia under the

My soon to be wife's wedding ring is a 2 piece set: engagement ring and a wedding band. How do I exchange rings during the ceremony? Should she already have the engagement ring on, and I just add the wedding band? Or should both her engagement ring and wedding band be on the ring pillow and I put both on her? If so, one at a time or simultaneously? Asked by Nixon - Mon Mar 30 00:24:56 2009 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments A. I'm assuming they aren't soldered together. They are still 2 seperate pieces. There are a couple options for the engagement ring during the ceremony. Now, for the most part, the wedding band goes on the bottom of the finger with the engagement ring ontop (some old tradition of it being closest to your heart) So for the engagement ring: 1. She can hand it to her MOH to hold during the ceremony and put it back on right after. 2. She can put it on her right hand and put it back on the proper finger afterwards (this is what I'm doing) 3. She can leave it on and just switch them around afterwards. 4. She can put it on the ring pillow and have you put both on her hand. Personally I'm not a fan of this way because you give her the engagement… [cont.] Answered by NikkiM BTB 08/29/09 - Mon Mar 30 01:02:21 2009 Where can I buy a wedding album that professional photographers use? Q. My in-law's wedding album cover is ruined. I want to get them a new wedding album as a 50th wedding anniversary present. Asked by Babette - Thu Apr 24 17:34:35 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. I purchase from Perfection Distribution. But a wedding album is not just a wedding album. There are literally hundreds of styles and page designs and photo mount types. My honest opinion is to go to a professional photographer, (who does weddings), and show him / her what you have and let them take it from there. It may be the only way you have to do this right... and will certainly be the best way from a quality standpoint. But anyway, here is the link to Perfection Distribution: steve Answered by Steve P - Thu Apr 24 21:12:12 2008 When should I start assembling my wedding invitations?
Q. My invitations for my wedding just came in today! My wedding is in 4 months and 17 days. We are going to send them out one month before the wedding, so people can get time off and such. When would be a good time to start stuffing my evelopes. I have the invite, a map, and the ceremony invite. I want to know when I should start assembling the invites, and addressing them? Asked by kirsteygoodwin - Mon Jan 12 23:27:50 2009 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments A. No time like the present. Addressing them could take awhile since you probably don't want to do a ton in one sitting, that way your handwriting stays fresh. My invites took a lot longer than I thought so I wish I would have started early. Might as well get something done you can cross off your list.
