How should the United States prosecute its war against global terrorism over the next several years?

A. Every time there is a TERROR attack you should switch off the T.V. news and do your own research on who was responsible and always ask yourself "Who benefits most from this terror" Watch this to see what I mean.

How does United States respond to developing threats in other countries?

Asked by Emily F - Wed May 13 00:24:45 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Generally speaking, the best solution is to try to turn a potential foe into a friend via direct or indirect diplomatic means. But, because people can be liars or change their minds, we also need to develop military options while we attempt to establish diplomatic solutions. The military option must be the last option but it must be an option.

Q. Can you help me? What issue became a major problem for the United States government after the Mexican War? whether slavery should be allowed in the western territories whether Mormons should be allowed to settle in Utah whether the United States should annex Texas whether Americans should migrate to Mexico's northern territories is it: whether the United States should annex Texas? i think it's this one, but i am not sure!

A. Well the War with Mexico War ended in 1848, nd by then Texas was already annexed to USA. That happened in 1845. The Missouri Compromise was passed in 1850, and that was the deal about slavery in the western territories. USA took a whole chunk of land from Mexico at the end of the War with Mexico, and USA did not know what to do about slavery in that area. So that was the major problem USA had: whether slavery should be allowed in the Western Territory

Q. My friend is planning to go with my family to Mexico during Christmas break. He's 15 & was born in the United States & lives here. He never traveled so he doesn't have a passport but he has a birth certificate. How will he be able to go with us?

A. No he can't if you plan to take a flight. Each U.S. citizen needs a valid passport for an international flight. Should you however plan to drive and cross the land border or take a cruise he can use his birth certificate to travel being below 16 years. .. In this case he also must have a notarized letter of consent signed by both of his parents. ..

How will a United States economic collapse affect Asia?
Q. Apparently, from what I've heard the United States is headed for an economic collapse. What I want to know is how will an Economic Collapse affect Asia? According to Peter Schiff, Asian currency will rise as the US dollar falls. China is looking to be a world economic leader and would lead Asia. A. First of all, the US economy is not going to collapse. It's not even clear we're in a recession. The great depression was exacerbated by a fledgling fed that did exactly the opposite of what they should have done. That is, they took liquidity out of the system rather than adding it. Regarding your question, a collapse of the largest economy in the world (we are four, some think five times larger than China in GDP) would send the entire world into a depression. Since we would presumably default on our treasury bonds, of which China and Japan hold the most in the world, countries who hold our bonds as foreign reserves would experience a crisis of liquidity. Also, their export markets would dry up overnight and there would be a run on their… [cont.]

Asked by Molly O - Fri Nov 14 23:59:23 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The US saw China as a potential extension of Communist Russia, and thus a Communist China would be a factor in the Cold War. Also, the prevailing American concept of restricting Communism was military 'containment' - that is, surrounding Russia with states that would be hostile to the spread of Communism. A Communist China would interfere with this containment policy.
