Q. I just bought a 26" sharp lcd hdtv. The picture is fine, but the speakers are very disappointing. the tv does have a digital output audio. what kind of external speakers/woofers are compatible with this tv? what components will be needed? i reckon a conventional computer speaker wouldn't work. You can get these relatively cheaply these days, but you get what you pay for. If the TV is a small one for a bedroom, you might do better to take the ANALOG audio output and run that into a set of PC speakers with subwoofer.
