A banknote (often known as a bill, paper money or simply a note) is a kind of negotiable instrument, a promissory note made by a bank payable to the bearer on demand, used as money, and in many jurisdictions is legal tender. Along with coins, banknotes make up the cash or bearer forms of all modern money. With the exception of non-circulating high-value or precious metal commemorative issues, coins are generally used for lower valued monetary units, while banknotes are used for higher values.

How much damage does it take to make paper money void?
Q. Paper money accidentally chewed by my dogs (stupid me left dog cookies tucked in my unattended, open purse. Bills are now taped together but small pieces and or up to 1/3rd of one $20 bill are missing. Numbers are all still intact. Is it still good? Please tell me yes because I do not get paid for another two weeks.

Q. Is there a country with better looking money?

A. Buy Gold bullion, it is the most liquid form (asset wise) of the metal money. If you want to buy gold with the idea that you'll ultimately sell it, then you might want to buy gold bullion; it's easy to buy gold this way and easy to sell it around the world. You can buy gold bullion by looking for dealers online. On your preferred search engine, look for "gold bullion" or "gold dealers."
