What does the coefficient "b" stand for in a standard quadratic equation?
Q. I mean in a graph, what does it stand? How does the b change how the parabola looks?

A. it is the number that proceeds the x term. in x^2+2x+1 it would be 2. It changes the graph located around the origin, or when x is relatively small either positive or negative. Once x gets really big or really negative the x^2 has much more dominance over the range and the graphs will be more similar.

I take vitamin b tablets. Can vitamin b tablets cause any complications when my body is exposed to sun?
Q. I am curious because I am going to bali for a holiday where it will be very sunny and I will be exposed to the sun a lot. I read once that vitamin b tablets cause complication with the body if the body is exposed to a lot of sun. Is that true? I really need the info A.S.A.P.

A. Hi, That all depends on which B vitamin supplements you're taking. For example Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is destroyed by sunlight, so if you're taking b2 supplements then a lot of exposure to sun can indeed cause some issues, however not much research has been done as yet regarding this so everything may be fine (see sources). If you're taking b complex vitamins (b6, b12, folic acid), then you shouldn't have any problems, sunlight can actually be beneficial for b12 production. If you're just taking b supplements for prophylactic reasons I wouldn't worry too much. If you have a deeper health issue then I would consult your doctor to be on the safe side.

Q. For the month of December a web site A had a audience of about 76.4 million and web site B had an audience of about 66.2 million. An advertising company wants to purchase website ads to promote a new product. Suppose that the monthly cost of an ad on A Website is $1200 and the monthly cost of an add on B website is $1100. How many months should an ad run on each website to maximize the number of people who would be exposed to it. Assume that, for future months, the monthly website audience remains the same as given for December. Also assume that the advertising budget is $35,000 and that it has been decided to advertise on Website B for at least 10 months.

A. To me it looks like your budget will cover ads at both websites for the full 12 months. That should give you maximum exposure. (1200 + 1100) * 12 = 2300 * 12 = $27600 Leaving you with some change! Not sure if I'm interpreting your question correctly though : ) If its not a yearly thing, do your 10 months at website B and spend the rest of the budget on website A as thats got to give you more exposure.
