Is tomorrow going to be hectic on all the roads and highways?
Q. My mom needs to go to Georgia by Monday, and wants me to go with her. But I can only go tomorrow but she says the roads will be horrible tomorrow because everyone is leaving from Thanksgiving holiday. We live in Orlando, and need to go to Atlanta. How long do you think it would take to drive that long tomorrow?

Are toll roads the best way to maintain highways and bridges?
Q. Considering that the road is owned by governtment. Consider that there is no third party. Are they the best way?

A. Gearnofear is correct. In Texas, the Legislators are trying to bring in toll roads for some roads that already exist. This amounts to double taxation. We paid for it when we registered our cars, got inspections, and every time we bought gas. However, if the road is owned, operated, and repaired completely by a third party (w/out government subsidies), toll roads would be fair. We would be paying for their service. If we were to take this to the extreme, there would be a problem however, we would still be paying registration, inspection, and gas taxes for absolutely no service at all. Some states already do this.
