How do I learn to Embroider the pockets of my jeans?
Q. I don't no anything about Embroidery but I think it would look really cool on my pockets.

A. Once the jeans are made doing true embroidery is extremely difficult, unless you plan to remove the pocket and reattach after the fact. At most craft or fabric stores you can find applique patches that you can use solo, or mix and match to eget a more custom look. They even sell iron on rhinestones. This would be your best bet.

What does putting my hands in my jacket pockets mean?
Q. My girlfriend claims to know psychology and asks me not to put my hands in the jacket pockets every time we go out. It's a habit of mine so it's hard to ween. She has no problem with the pant pockets. In general, she just like to correct my walking posture. If you are a psychologist, what does a person that constantly leaves his hands in pockets tell you? What about walking postures? I put mine in the pockets out of habit, not because they are cold...I have excellent blood circulation.

A. I don't know if it has been proved that putting hands in jacket pockets means anything special (and pants pockets are different!). but many people including me, do that because it's cold. so your gf should explain first what's the psychological reason that you put your hands in your "jacket pockets" and why that reason doesn't include "pants pockets". by the way having any posture like that constantly may seem not very attractive to some people. i mean assume somebody who always leans to wall when he stands somewhere. some people may find it not cool. some other people whose minds are enough busy with their own business won't even notice that.

My dance jacket doesnt have any pockets, can i sew some on the inside?
Q. It has 2 layers of fabric, could i sew in some pockets? It's so annoying to have a jacket without them! Does anyone have any ideas on how i can do this? Do they sell premade pockets at JoAnn Fabrics or something? thankksss hand sew? what kind of fabric? can i make one with a zipper?

A. you don't need a pre-made pocket. when you say the jacket has 2 layers of fabric i assume you are saying it is lined. all you need to do is cut a square of fabric that is the size you want you pocket. add about 1 inch to the top so that you can fold down the top and not have a raw edge showing. use a saucer or plate to round the bottom 2 corners of you square. fold down the top inch you left and iron in place. now pin and hand sew the pocket to just the lining fabric. i think maybe a zipper might be too dificult for a first project. good luck and if you need any more help e-mail me from my profile page.
