A. I would check with the various rental car agencies such as: Hertz, Avis, Dollar, Budget, Enterrprise, etc. I did a quick search on Hertz. They do offer a Cadillac Escalade under their Prestige collection for pickup in McAllen. See the link below. If you like that model and want to book it, you can click on the How To Book this link on the Hertz site. Good luck and enjoy the Rio Grande Valley.

What's something cool and fun to do after high school graduation?
Q. I want to get the hell outta dodge after graduation and do something fun with my girls. I live in the lower Rio Grande Valley (tip of Texas) so keep in mind that I'm 18 and not very rich on money and distance is vital with the price of gas and all that.

Translation from English to Dutch? ?
Q. the mid-18th-century Spanish land-grant programme in the sentence: Margaret Dorsey, an anthropologist from the University of Pennsylvania who studies Texas s Lower Rio Grande Valley, says many local families can trace their roots to the mid-18th-century Spanish land-grant programme And Increasingly, the problem is less the ease of illegal immigration than the difficulty of legal migration. online translators are no good. I study translation-interpretatio n and for my final paper I have to translate a lot of texts. I find these two sentence rather difficult so I thought that perhaps a native could be of some assistance.

A. Not an easy text to translate, I'm sorry to say, but the other answers aren't very good. I gave it a couple of minutes and this is what I would write in Dutch: "Margaret Dorsey, een antropologe van de Universiteit van Pennsylvania die de Texaanse beneden Rio Grandevallei bestudeert, zegt dat veel lokale families hun oorsprong kunnen vinden in het middenachttiende-eeuwse Spaanse landtoewijzingsprogramma. Het probleem is meer (het feit) dat legale immigratie steeds moeilijker wordt dan (het feit) dat illegale immigratie gemakkelijk is." I have a hard time translating "lower", if it means "southern part", then you should translate by "het zuidelijke deel". In any case, don't use "lager", if you're speaking of a delta, its "beneden".
