Land management can be defined as the process of managing the use and development (in both urban and suburban settings) of land resources in a sustainable way. Land resources are used for a variety of purposes which interact and may compete with one another; therefore, it is desirable to plan and manage all uses in an integrated manner.

Books on Land Management, Conservation and the Environment?
Q. I'm hoping to do a Bachelor of Natural Environment and Wilderness Studies next year, and would like to get a head start by reading up on the subject. So can anyone recommend some good books that will help me learn about this area? Any that are specific to Australia would be extra useful! Cheers!

A. Health program director, nursing home management track, hospital depatments, working for city/county/state/federal health departments, compliance, senior health program, health insurance company, etc. They aren't going to let you come in at the top but in an entry level position. You'll have to know medical terminology, HR issues, planning, ethics, public health aspects, know the legal ramifications of your work, etc. You'll have to operate a computer, do research, plan work, organize work, in some instances write grants, supervise others, budget or manage a budget, be a health educator, show empathy, etc.

A. If you could specify what type of climate change you are talking about, it might help. If you are talking about a global climate change of warming temperatures, then we will have an increasing "green" season - the period of time during which temperatures are conducive to plant growth. This will have greater effect in lands as you move closer to the poles. Increased temperatures will result in increased rainfall due to increased evaporation and plant transpiration. Since the same scientists who predict the global climate change have said that the warming is due to increased anthropogenic CO2 and subsequent greenhouse effect, AND NOT a change in insolation, then this would have to result in a cooling of the atmosphere above the… [cont.]
