How can it be called Greek pizza with California olives and Mozzarella cheese?
Q. Sure it has feta and basil but is that enough to be called Greek. What should be added? Ideas? Best recipe?

A. Pizza, by definition is Italian!! What is really Greek, is the Souvlaki pitta. Do you know this?? It is a small round pitta, wrapped around meat skewer, plus tomatoes, onions, tsatziki (garlic-yogurt sauce). Souvlaki can be called Greek. Pizza is Italian. Yet... If we want to make a pizza that could be called Greek, we should add feta, olives, oregano, fresh tomatoes, maybe eggplants... Beer or ouzo on the table, Greeks around the table talking about politics and football at the same time and with the same zest! Sharing jokes, teasing each other and talking out loud. Be my guest!

Does anyone know of some good greek recipes?
Q. I used to live in Tarpon Springs, FL which has a large Greek population. We had the best restaurants ever! I love greek food, but I'm in VA for school and there are NO greek places around here.
