A game is a structured activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment and sometimes used as an educational tool. Games are distinct from work, which is usually carried out for remuneration, and from art, which is more concerned with the expression of ideas. However, the distinction is not clear-cut, and many games are also considered to be work (such as professional players of spectator sports/games) or art (such as jigsaw puzzles or games involving an artistic layout such as Mahjong solitaire).

Key components of games are goals, rules, challenge, and interaction. Games generally involve mental or physical stimulation, and often both. Many games help develop practical skills, serve as a form of exercise, or otherwise perform an educational, simulational or psychological role. According to Chris Crawford, the requirement for player interaction puts activities such as jigsaw puzzles and solitaire "games" into the category of puzzles rather than games.

Attested as early as 2600 BC, games are a universal part of human experience and present in all cultures. The Royal Game of Ur, Senet, and Mancala are some of the oldest known games.

What is your favorite failed video game experiment?
Q. By failed video game experiment I mean a piece of hardware meant to improve gaming but failed. It could be an accessory like the power glove or the 32x for sega, or it could be a console like the 3do or the CD-I. So what is your favorite failed video game experiment? Mine is the power glove because even though it doesn't work well it eventually evolved into the wii.

What is the most expensive to be produced video game ever created?
Q. They talk about how much movies cost to make, how much revenue they brought in, and what there net profits were all the time. I wonder what the most amount of money ever spent on making a video game was, and which video game it was. Note, I am talking about the game itself - the software and everything that went into a particular one (not counting marketing/advertising/pac kaging) - just the production of the game. And I am not talking about game consoles or hardware. Just the game.

A. Most games come about as just a thought in someone s head. Considering most companies that make games already have the hardware they need to develop a game, they won t have any cost there. Id say you would have to see what Company pays its employees the most, and you will have your answer.

What is your video game decision making process from start to finish?
Q. With thousands of video games existing today, what is your step by step method and process for choosing which game to pick up, buy, and then play? Please include what is the weight for any and all deciding factors for each trait. The more detail you include in your game consideration equation will determine the more likely you will get the best answer vote.
