What do you honestly think about the Egyptian government confiscating Hama's money in rafah borders ?
Q. Hamas leader was carrying money from egypt into gaza through rafah borders. The money was raised by donations. As Al-Jazeera reported. We know that the egyptian population is usually generous and loyal, and what their government did, does not apply to all of them.

A. By any definition it is theft and an attempt to exert control as Hamas was a democratically elected political party ~even the israeli's recognize this fact. As an individual there is a legal amount of money in cash that can be taken out of the country and most countries have this same law, But this was a legal representative of a legally elected and internationally recognized political party entitled by the Geneva convention to diplomatic immunity to this law. Once again our president and his cohorts have shown their disregard for the situation in Palestine,public opinion and basic human rights. Anyone who thinks Egyptians are living in a democracy is either a fool or somehow benefiting from the Mubarak regime. The views of this… [cont.]

Is it true Easter was an Egyptian holiday before it was a Christian holiday?
Q. I'm in Egypt at the moment, and apparently schools here have 2 weeks off for Easter. I didn't get it, this is a Muslim country, right? I asked my mom and she told me it was some sort of ancient egyptian thing before it was a christian thing. Is it true?

A. No. Easter is a Christian festival celebrating Christ's resurrection. Its date, however, is derived from the Jewish Passover which happens in the 14th of the Jewish lunar month of Nissan. This is because the bible account of Christ's death and resurrection indicates that it happened around Passover time. There is an indirect link to Egypt in that the Passover commemorates the Jewish people's flight from Egypt and their deliverance from Pharaoh's armies.

A. You will need: 20 long art straws 12 medium length art straws 8 short art straws Wool, string or raffia What to do You will need to work together 1 person holding the straws and the other tying them up. To begin your boat cut 3 lengths of string 30 cm long. Tie the short art straws together tightly in the middle and at both ends. Then arrange the medium length art straws around the outside of the short bundle. Cut 5 lengths of string and tie the middle tightly. Use the other lengths to tie the ends and then the place where the short straws end. Next arrange the long art straws around the bundle, as you did before. Cut 5 lengths of string and tie the long art straws just like last time. Remember to pull the string… [cont.]
