Where are those Economy Geniuses who advised 'outsourcing' manufacturing jobs to India & China?
Q. 355,000 people lost jobs in the past 4 weeks. And yet no one can fire George W. Bush fast enough.

A. Our manufacturing jobs aren't going to China and India. We aren't losing them to Chinese and Indians, we are losing them to robots and automation. We are innovating ourselves out of jobs, not outsourcing them. It costs businesses too much to build these products elsewhere and then ship them here, especially when the cost of oil was so high and will be going back up. The problem is that these businesses are automating wherever they can, and that has cost us some jobs. That means those Middle Class employees don't have any money coming in to fuel the Middle Class consumer spending, so they quit buying products from other businesses. That causes other businesses to lay off employees because they aren't making any money; which in turn… [cont.]

Can an economy survive with little to no manufacturing?
Q. Went out shopping today and could find nothing made in the USA so I am not buying anything, not even a Christmas card! Everything is made in China these days! Wake up people! We've been sold out! Tinkerbell, the only place you got me was you in you're very little mind. Aren't you the vindictive little fairy? I'm so glad you feel better but it's a hollow victory.

A. You're not the only one. I told my kids they can either have gifts in edibles (made in the USA, of course) or money. They told me they'd rather have the money...in Euros!
