What diseases would have the symptom of coughing up blood or blood in the phlegm?
Q. This is not a symptom of my own so please don't tell me to go to the doctor, it is for a piece of work I have to do for College. If you could tell me the name of a disease/ diseases that cause this, preferably not consmption or TB, a little about it and other symptoms it would be a massive help! If you could also include treatment options and how serious a disease it is that would also be fantastic! Hope you can help! Thanks!

A. There are some virus and bacteria that is still being identified, it would have to be something environmental. Nomadic- Isolated populations where pretty disease free. It really is NOT about racial genetic character differences, it is about "city people" When people live cramped ...and with domesticated animals they are more likely to have more diseases. (H1N1) for example. The Black plague was from fleas on mice. If the Native American tribe now referred to as "Navajos" (Dine) would have not been nomadic, they would have spread a similar disease to the Europeans. There was an incident in the early 1990's...many Navajo died, from a similar disease...and actually a Eurpean man visiting got the disease... you can see that when… [cont.]

What are 3 diseases associated with the immune system?
Q. I know AIDS and Leukemia are two immune diseases or disorders (i'm sot sure what the proper word here is) but any other diseases would be helpful.

Off the top of my head, I can think of a few autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's disease (attacks the gut), Multiple Sclerosis (affects the central nervous system), lupus (affects multiple organs), rheumatoid arthritis (primarily affects joints). Allergies and asthma are also disorders associated with the immune system. HIV progresses to AIDS.
