What cingular phone is the best in your opinion?
Q. I have cingular. And i need a new phone. Just wanting the opinion of anyone who has a cingular phone that they really like and why?

A. I just answered another question like this, so we'll do it again! First off it depends on the kind of phone you want. So lets start simple. If you're only interested in the basics i would probably suggest the nokia 6126. Very simple basic flip phone that has a button on the side to auto-open. Kinda cool. It does have bluetooth and will hold a microSD up to 2 gig. Also it does have a basic vga camera, and you can use the music on your card as ringtones. If you want a little more, i'd say check out the Samsung A517 (Lion) nice sporty flip phone, all the stats that the nokia has, but its got a 1.3 mega pixel camera. For the slider style phone, i'd recommend the Sony w580. Cool slide phone comes in multiple colors and comes with everything… [cont.]

Is there a Cingular service center here in Manila Philippines?
Q. The touchscreen of my Cingular phone broke, and the technicians i have talked to told me that they cant find a replacement for it since every phone with touchscreens have different points along the touchscreen margin. I think i have to bring this to a Cingular service center to get it fixed. I live in Manila Philippines, what should i do? Thanks a lot.

A. I recommend you take it to any of the phone service shops at SM North EDSA at the cyberzone. Their people are very diligent and smart. Actually, I had a T-Mobile Phone. They don't work, to my knowledge on specific carriers, they work on specific models. However, I did notice that they are generally very knowledgeable in working with different cellphones.

How much would it cost to fix a button on the Cingular 8125?
Q. I found a used unlocked Cingular 8125 for $150. The end button doesn't work. Could I get it fixed somewhere, and how much would it cost? Also, does anyone know how much this would affect the usage of the phone?

A. if you're good with working with small things,you could do the repair yourself,just open the case and pull of the faceplate,clean where the button pushes on with rubbing alcohol,and put it back together. it would not affect you too much,other than having to have the other person hang up first,the phone will disconnect itself, and you'll have to use the clear button to exit menus and stuff like that. i had an old sony ericsson that had a bad send button,and it wasn't too bad,I just used the ok button as send.
