Q. My parents and my computer have both a webcam and a microphone so how can I chat with them for free? Is there a program or a website and do you need like some type of address to connect to one another? Also I have high speed internet (dsl) but my parents have dial up can I still video chat with them? Thanks for the help! P.S. I am obviously new at this so please help?

A. Check out Totally free PC to PC Messaging, Voice Calls and Video Chat anywhere in the world. Even call PC to phone for small fee. Not sure if Broadband is required, but certainly recommended. Video chat will probably be very poor quality at best on the dial up end.

How do I get rid of this chat window inside of my yahoo account?
Q. Today I opened my yahoo account up as normal and some chat box thing popped up , some random person starting talking to me. I never installed any type of chat service or wanted any type of chat service on my yahoo account. Now when I go into my yahoo account there is a chat box below my mail ,spam, etc . How do I get rid of this chat service.

A. The same thing happened to me, i think what you can do is block that person from knowing you and he wont be able to txt you anymore

How do I get into the chat room other than through Messenger?
Q. So much has changed in Yahoo. I've tried to get into the chat rooms but I don't see what the tutorial is telling me. There is no drop down menu anywhere on my Messenger to show a chat. Is Messenger the only way to get into the chat rooms?

A. Yahoo messenger is the only way to get into the Yahoo chat rooms. It's been the case since Yahoo discontinued the web (java) version of yahoo chat. So you need to download and use Yahoo messenger. Within Yahoo messenger, after you've signed in, you'll need to locate , Messenger>Yahoo! Chat>Join a Room, in the menu. And that is how you get into the chat rooms. Of course there is also the captcha that you need to go through. It's also something that has changed lately. You need to go through captcha, also known as word verification, before you enter a room. Which means you need to go through it each time you change rooms as well... Yahoo chat is no longer what it used to be.
