I'm doing a term paper on different types of cancer and I need to find a few more types of cancer that, if not treated, can kill within one year. Thanks. An infection from a hangnail can kill if left untreated. I would suggest looking up the American Cancer Society and reading their 2006 Facts and Figures. You should be able to get all the statistics you are seeking. Timelines? Statistics? Just numbers. Patients are people and that is the shifting variable in the equation. Good luck on that term paper. Answered by Snowflake - Sun Sep 9 23:24:53 2007 How do you start a non-profit business interested in supporting Breast cancer and Childrens cancers research.? Q. Last year my husband and I set up and ran a haunted house in our garage/basement and the turnout in our town was tremendous. Strictly from advertising in with local signs on the side of the road we had over 1000 people on Halloween night. We would like to do this on a higher level and rent out a space in town and do it as a nonprofit business. How do you get grants and things to start up a nonprofit, can I go directly to the companies that we will be allocating the funds too or what? They can tell you there and give you a booklet that gives the criteria to be tax exempt. I work for an HIV agency in MI and, within the last year, we have had many young people volunteer at our agency. They do everythinig from inneroffice work to street outreach. (For me the street outreach is most fulfilling because you actually get to reach out to people). Most agencies welcome or even NEED volunteers, allyou have to do is ask. I think it is great that you want to get involved.
