What is it about East New York and Brownsville that makes these areas so dangerous?

A. Like any other area in the United States, a mixture of aspects contribute to areas like East New York, Brownsville, Bed-Stuy and even Jamaica, Queens - lower income families who will do whatever it takes for extra money (dealing drugs, getting involved in a gang for a sense of brotherhood and protection, etc.), cheap rent which attracts these lower income families and unfortunately criminals who have trouble finding jobs, graduation rates are usually very low as many have to drop out of school to help support their families or make money of their (high pregnancy rates also attribute to this) which makes the residents less susceptible to finding "real" jobs and making "honest" money (by honest, I mean through a wage and paycheck - even… [cont.]

A. I have had good luck using Wal Mart Superstores, Smart Style. These are independantly owned and operated. You may have to try a couple diferent stylists befor you find the best. For the last 4 years that is the only place I've gone for a hair cut and only had one I didn't like. The reason for that, was I really wanted it shorter. Give them a try.

Ever heard of the electric guitar brand Brownsville? Is it any good?
Q. I found an electric guitar on Craiglist that looks nice and I can afford. I've been playing guitar for 15+ years and thought I had heard of most brands, most good brands at least. Has anyone heard of Brownsville? How are they? Any idea what they normally cost?
