What extra support can i offer a child in reception who is using a computer?
Q. I have observed a child who is 4 years old and in the reception class, she went on the computer and played on childrens web site. I have to think about the different types of support i can give to this child to expand her creativity and knowledge.

A. Paintshop Pro is a great computer programme for creativity and knowledge. I use it to do shape play and colour recognition. The children can be creative through making their own pictures to print out. You could also extend her physical skills and hand eye coordination which is needed for mouse control by playing jigsaws, building blocks, lego etc. Otherwise have other computer games for her to explore. Children's Encyclopedia's are great for exploring and seeing pictures and mini movies about cool stuff! Sit with her and talk to her whilst she's playing-asking questions promotes possibilty thinking (needed for problem solving and language skills) and shows you her knowledge and understanding of what she's actually doing. Have fun x

What football team do you support and why?
Q. I'd love to know the reason people choose to support their teams. I support Plymouth Argyl, I lioved there for 10 years and although they may never be top they rock, the supporters are all families and old folk lol and come on, how many teams are sponsered by a pasty company lol!
