Support may refer to the following:
- Sympathy Sympathy is a social affinity in which one person stands with another person, closely understanding his or her feelings. The word derives from the Greek συμπάθεια , from συν (syn) "together" + πάθος (pathos), in this case "suffering" (from πάσχω - pascho, "to be affected by, to suffer"). It also, emotional An emotion is a mental and physiological state associated with a wide variety of feelings, thoughts, and behavior. Emotions are subjective experiences, or experienced from an individual point of view. Emotion is often associated with mood, temperament, personality, and disposition. Such insights and experiences comprise knowledge, either embodied in individuals or embedded in organisational processes or practice using wiki software)
- Technical support Technical support is a range of services providing assistance with technology products such as mobile phones, televisions, computers, or other electronic or mechanical goods. In general, technical support services attempt to help the user solve specific problems with a product—rather than providing training, customization, or other support (a.k.a tech support) - in computer hardware, software or electronic goods;
- Support (mathematics) In mathematics, the support of a function is the set of points where the function is not zero, or the closure of that set. This concept is used very widely in mathematical analysis. In the form of functions with support that is bounded, it also plays a major part in various types of mathematical duality theories, subset In mathematics, especially in set theory, a set A is a subset of a set B if A is "contained" inside B. Notice that A and B may coincide. The relationship of one set being a subset of another is called inclusion of the domain In mathematics, the domain of a given function is the set of "input" values for which the function is defined. For instance, the domain of cosine would be all real numbers, while the domain of the square root would be only numbers greater than or equal to 0 (ignoring complex numbers in both cases). In a representation of a function in a of a function The mathematical concept of a function expresses the intuitive idea that one quantity completely determines another quantity (the value, or output). A function associates a unique value to each input of a specified type. The argument and value may be real numbers, but they can also be elements from any given sets: the domain and codomain of the where it is non-zero valued;
- Support (measure theory) In mathematics, the support of a measure μ on a measurable topological space (X, Borel(X)) is a precise notion of where in the space X the measure "lives". It is defined to be the largest (closed) subset of X for which every open neighbourhood of every point of the set has positive measure, a subset of a measurable space;
- Support (statistics) In statistics, the likelihood function is a function of the parameters of a statistical model that plays a key role in statistical inference. In non-technical usage, "likelihood" is a synonym for "probability", but throughout this article only the technical definition is used. Informally, if "probability" allows us to, the logarithm In mathematics, the logarithm of a number to a given base is the power or exponent to which the base must be raised in order to produce the number of a likelihood function In statistics, the likelihood function is a function of the parameters of a statistical model that plays a key role in statistical inference. In non-technical usage, "likelihood" is a synonym for "probability", but throughout this article only the technical definition is used. Informally, if "probability" allows us to
- Method of support; in statistics Statistics is a mathematical science pertaining to the collection, analysis, interpretation or explanation, and presentation of data. Statisticians improve the quality of data with the design of experiments and survey sampling. Statistics also provides tools for prediction and forecasting using data and statistical models. Statistics is applicable, "support" is the logarithm In mathematics, the logarithm of a number to a given base is the power or exponent to which the base must be raised in order to produce the number of the likelihood In statistics, the likelihood function is a function of the parameters of a statistical model that plays a key role in statistical inference. - Support (mobile framework) The work on the Support Framework investigates the problem of communication among mobile hosts, where topological connectivity is subject to frequent, unpredictable change, in mobile computing;
- Support (technical analysis) Support and resistance is a concept in technical analysis that the movement of the price of a security will tend to stop and reverse at certain predetermined price levels, in security trading;
- Military combat support (see combat engineers, anti-tank Anti-tank refers to any method of combating military armored fighting vehicles, notably tanks. The most common anti-tank systems include artillery with a high muzzle velocity, missiles , various autocannons firing penetrating ammunition, and anti-tank mines, artillery Artillery is a military combat Arm that employs weapons capable of discharging large projectiles in combat. They are generally capable of adding considerable fire power to the military capability of an armed force. Artillery is also a system of scientific research and its application towards design, capability and combat use of the above matériel); see also Fire Support Fire support is long-range firepower provided to a front-line military unit. Typically, fire support is provided by artillery or close air support , and is used to shape the battlefield or, more optimistically, define the battle. Battleships, for example, have also been a viable form of fire support in the past, being the main effort in naval
- Military service support (see combat medic, military intelligence This is achieved by providing an analysis of available data from a wide range of sources, including forecast environmental changes , and information that is indicative of possible opposing force intentions, military logistics);
- Supports in architecture include arch An arch is a structure that spans a space while supporting weight . Arches appeared as early as the 2nd millennium BC in Mesopotamian brick architecture, but their systematic use started with the Ancient Romans who were the first to apply the technique to a wide range of structures, beam (structure) A beam is a structural element that is capable of withstanding load primarily by resisting bending. The bending force induced into the material of the beam as a result of the external loads, own weight and external reactions to these loads is called a bending moment, column, balcony Balcony , a kind of platform projecting from the wall of a building, supported by columns or console brackets, and enclosed with a balustrade. The traditional Maltese balcony is a wooden closed balcony projecting from a wall, stretcher A stretcher is a horizontal support element of a table, chair or other item of furniture; this structure is normally made of exposed wood and ties vertical elements of the piece together. There are numerous styles of the stretcher including circumferential, double and spindle design. This term is sometimes referred to as a stretcher beam. A very

How can my husband cancel child support to a child who is no longer a minor?
Q. My husband has been paying child support faithfully, but now that his daughter is no longer a minor we can't seem to find the right way to cancel these payments, they are now deducting the amount of child support from his SS checks. We have tried contacting the NJ Child support division but have not been able to get in touch with anyone via phone or by mail. What else can we do? How can we stop paying?

A. file a motion in family court to end the child support based on the child being an adult now and served the other parent the papers. If the child is attending college then child support will continue. Check into that as well.
