Q. The public school situation in poverty-stricken areas in America is obviously rough and dropout rates are high. Youth are faced with temptations to resort to selling drugs. What is the viable alternative for students who make the choice to work hard and graduate from high school? I ask this because I grew up in a middle/upper-middle class home and graduated from a good college (with a psychology degree) in four years, and still had trouble finding decent employment after graduation (I worked in after-school care for a little while). What do inner-city youth who "stay in school" end up doing? What can be done to create better alternatives for these students? Asked by James W - Sun Mar 11 01:05:57 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. there are scholarships given to students who qualify under things such as household income, minority, what majot their interested in, etc. just go to scholarships.com and fill out the survey with your information and it gives you everything you qualify for... hope this helped.
