In North America the term recreational vehicle and its acronym, RV, are generally used to refer to a vehicle equipped with living space and amenities found in a home; they are sometimes called motorhomes. A recreational vehicle normally includes a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom and a living room. In other countries the terms caravan or camper van are more common, and the vehicles themselves vary, typically being smaller than in North America. RVs are intended for everything from brief leisure activities such as vacations and camping, to full-time living, for which they are often parked in special trailer parks. (However, many trailer parks are reserved just for mobile homes, not to be confused with RVs and motorhomes.) RVs can also be rented in most major cities and tourist areas. Furthermore, they are occasionally used as mobile offices for business travelers and often include customizations such as extra desk space, an upgraded electrical system, a generator, and satellite Internet. Q. I am doing a paper on Harley Davidson and calculated their financial ratios and now I have to compare them to the industries averages for the those same ratios. The ratios include: quick ratio, current ratio, inventory turnover, fixed asset turnover, total asset turnover, return on assets, debt ratio, profit margin on sales, cash ratio, and break even. Asked by k-rei - Wed Jan 31 19:57:05 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. This may be kind of difficult. Most financial websites like Yahoo! Finance and CNBC.com will group Harley-Davidson with automotive dealers (e.g. Honda, GM, Ford). To come up with a true industry average, you will probably have to create your own by using a spreadsheet (Excel). You can find most of your ratios from the above mentioned websites. But first, you will have to decide what companies should be included in your average. This will obviously be other companies that create recreational vehicles. The first companies that come to mind when I think Recreational vehicles are Polaris (PII), Bombardier (BDRAF.PK), Suzuki (SZKMF), and Yamaha (YAMCF.PK). Notice that most of these companies are "pink slip" or "over the counter" stocks ( [cont.] Answered by WildCat Guy - Wed Jan 31 21:37:52 2007 I am looking for recreational vehicles that have been repossessed by banks. Q. I have been pondering carrer choices lately and am really interested in both real estate and architecture. I would like to look more into real estate but dont want to give up my passion for architecture. I dont really want to design houses though, i have been really interested in camping all of my life and my family has owned a camper since i was a kid. I was wondering if there is such a thing as a "camper architect" or something f the sort where you can design the floorplans and etc. of campers and RVs. Asked by Shane - Tue Apr 14 22:49:41 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. All of the major RV and trailer manufacturers hire designers to create the most efficient and the most pleasing floorplans for their products. Cavco and Roadrunner ( i don't work for them) would be willing to listen to your ideas. if they think you have talent they might give you a chance for 6 months to prove that you really do have some new ideas. The space is limited and they all need a bed and a table and a "kitchen" so there is not a lot of room for modifications. You will need to surprise them..
