best recreational vehicles?
Q. this might be too hard to answer (get too many different opinions) because it's kinda like asking someone what car is best. I realize some people like brand A others brand B and others brand C, etc but I wonder if anyone out there (other than someone just trying to sell one) what make of type c RV is the best for the buck. Im not looking at one of those real fancy, expensive ones but one not more than 100 grand max and should it be new or used and if used should it be from a dealer who will really stand behind it or just an individual. Many questions here but thanks so much. Vicki and Charlie

business law question?
Q. Don and Eve own a recreational vehicle as joint tenants. Don sells his ownership rights in the RV to Fred. Eve and Fred own the RV as co-owners in fee simple. joint tenants. tenants by the entirety. tenants in common.
Asked by sassafras - Wed May 27 15:58:48 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If I was Fred's lawyer I would advise him to get a "Tenants in common" agreement with Eve. Because, "Tenants in common" of an item property may own equal or unequal shares, sometimes expressed in percentages. Each tenant in common may sell his share to another. In joint tenancy (the agreement Don and Eve had), the share of a joint tenant who dies goes to the surviving joint tenants until there is but a single survivor, at which time the sole survivor owns the whole. (ie. if Fred dies, Eve gets everything) Not so with "tenants in common" where when such a property owner dies, his invested share goes to his own estate.

How to get out of a house I bought with mother?
Q. Me and my husband bought a house four years ago with my mother on an agreement to only be in it two years and then sell and split the equity. After one year market was peaked and we wanted to sell, but she did not, she finally agreed after another year to put the house on the market, but priced it too high to sell. Now going on our fifth year, me and my husband have extended our family and have 3 kids now (only had one when we bought). We desperatly want to buy our own house and cannot sell this one because of the market now we are upside down. Finally got mother to agree to rent out the house, but we would like to buy another house and our debt ratio is too high because we have this house on our credit. We are selling our high payment vehicle… [cont.]

A. Your only option is to give mom the house and have her refi it in her name only.

Calculating Question?
Q. The comfort corporation manufactures sofas and tables for the recreational vehicle market. The firm's capital structure consists of 60 percent common equity, 10 percent preferred stock, and 30 percent long-term debt. This capital structure is believed to be optimal. Comfort will requite $120 million to finance expansion plans for the coming year. The firm expects to generate enough internal equity to meet equity portion of its expansion needs. The cost of retained earnings is 18 percent. The firm can raise preferred stock at a cost of 15 percent. First-mortgage bonds can be sold at a pretax cost of 14 percent. The firm's marginal tax rate is 40 percent. Calculate the cost of capital for the funds needed to meet the expansion goal. Plz… [cont.]

Please help with this math problem?
Q. On October 9, 2006, U.S. News & World Report discussed resale value of Recreational Vehicles. Jim Clinnin purchased a used RV with 19,501 miles for $57,484. Originally the RV sold for $80,000 with a residual value of $10,000. After subtracting the residual value, depreciation allowance per mile was $0.88. How much was Jim's purchase price over or below the book value?
Asked by ficola83 - Sun Mar 15 21:44:16 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. 80k - 10k = 70,000 19,501 * .88 per = 17,160.88 depreciation 70,000 - 17,160.88 = 52,839.12 57,484 - 52,839.12 = 4,644.88 over book value

A. I would be gone. What about retirement? Is anything being put away for the future. Sounds like you want to be the one who "fixes" him. You have to look out for yourself. No, love isn't enough. Love isn't going to feed you. I think these people are the ultimate optimists, they think that there will always be more money coming in.
