A. well to be honest I agree with one answer here, the fact that if it was possible all the money would be dispersed between the drug lords and the corrupt government that is there. And since all the corruption is being shared also with high officials like the chiefs of police, generals of their armies, and the list goes on and on and on...That does not mean that something like that does not happen here in our Country as well...example the first 750 billion dollars, Were did all really go?? Seems like it was pretty much thrown in the back burner huh?? And to Dirty Martini ,mizzholloywood, joebob,oz man641...it is our every right to express our opinions by all means, but be sure you are exactly correct about your facts and not just shooting… [cont.]

How is the Spanish of northern Mexico different from the Spanish of the rest of the country?
Q. I am planning to visit northern Mexico later this year and am learning the Mexican dialect of Spanish for that reason. Can someone tell me what are the main differences between the Spanish of northern Mexico (e.g., Monterrey) and the Spanish spoken in the rest of Mexico? Also, I have come across the following words for "boy" in Spanish: Muchaho Chamaco Chavo Chico Nino What I want to know is, which of the above words is the most commonly used in Monterrey or northern Mexico?
Asked by Amit Schandillia - Tue Apr 7 22:18:30 2009 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments

A. To speak like a "regio" you have to be in monterrey. It's like me. If i want to speak like a Yankee.. i should got to NY. Ive been learning english from my southern folks from Arkansas. Main differences: We speak better, we are better, we are smarter than the rest of the "chilangos". No just kiddin.. different accent, some word are used different. You are looking for slang sort of things... in my opinion.. when you are just starting to learn a language... that's the last part you should be looking at. Anyways, ill sent you a good source of mexican-slang. Iam a Regio... Drop me a msg any time if you want to practice. reickyone at yahoo dot com Greetings.

A. 10% white,.-80 % percent mestizo and 10% of native americans. As Salvador F said, most of the so called Mestizo are not really mestizo, some of them will be whiter and some will be 100% racially native american but living as Mestizos. Native americans in Mexico are the people who still speak their native tongue, still wear their traditonal dresses etc. Now the people from north of Mexico tend to be taller than the rest and have less Native American blood in their veins but still a lot Native looking. the more you travel south people tend to be darker and smaller, and racial differences between rich and poor is greater. rich people tend to be whiter, poor people tend to be darker. A. Actually, a very good question, and for this reason. The Coyotes will get you to this country for anything between $50 and $500 dollars. The cheap route is busy and the Border Patrol is waiting. LOTS of business from what I gather, but they keep trying. The Coyotes won't take an I.O.U. Ahhh but... The Mexican Mafia really needs people to peddle their stuff. They get into the Mexican American Community, and the Mexican Mafia will then supply the dope. So the Mexican Mafia will do the job for you, but you pay them back with narcotics sales. And before all the Mexican Nationals come up and say this is racist, keep in mind the illegal aliens usually cannot speak English. They almost NEVER go to Bererly Hills.. they go to the… [cont.]

How good would an exchange trip to Mexico look on a college application?
Q. I really want to go on an exchange trip to Mexico to learn about the culture. The school takes us to a really nice piece of Mexico and we stay with a family there and learn more about the language, people, and customs. My parents seem to think that it won't make much of a difference on my college application and it's a lot of money. I'm having a hard time finding proof for them. Please help me :( :(
Asked by salimc777 - Thu Oct 30 17:18:48 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It depends on what type of college you are looking at and your major. If for example you're majoring in Spanish it would look great if you wanted to be considered for the Spanish Department's Honors Program. If you're leaning towards a large, state university then things like this which help you to stand out from the pack can move you to different levels and help you to become much more appealing for scholarships and admission. Private colleges love love love this kind of thing, seriously if you can and want to do it, do it. I wish I could have had this kind of opportunity.

A. Click the first link for a map of the hotel zone in Cancun. The hotel zone is shaped like the number 7. The majority of the clubs are in the area where the top part of the 7 turns south to the longer arm of the 7. So any resort numbered from 25 through 31 will put you within easy walking distance to the clubs. I would recommend the Riu Palace Las Americas or the Riu Cancun. I would click the second link below and plug in your dates to see if any good deals come up for those two on the Bookit website.

Is a church wedding in Mexico considered a legal wedding to United States immigration?
Q. In mexico, all citizens must go to a court to get a marriage certificate to make the wedding legal. Otherwise, it's just a ceremony in the church. Does United States Customs and Immigration consider just the church wedding a legal marriage?

A. In Mexico only a civil wedding performed by a civil judge is considered legal in Mexico and internationally. The Registro Civil office of each town and city can perform the ceremony as long as all of your documents and paperwork is in order.

A. You'd have to do your homework obviously. Where would you like to open it? Buying an old school or other interesting building in a downtown location is good. However - are you eligible for being a permanent resident in Canada? You should check that out first. Go to and click on one of the various links there relating to doing business in Canada and also visitors to Canada.

A. Tough question. What comes to my mind is that the Spanish conquistadores came into a land with a highly developed civilization, completely destroyed that civilization, their government, culture, and religion. They forced the people tp give up their culture, language and religion. They created a country of a few rich land owners and millions of poor people. Mexico just became independent of Spain 200 years ago.and still suffers the "growing pains" of becoming an independent nation and correcting the wrongs of the past. The vast gulf between rich and poor is still present in many ways. The corrupt Napoleonic "justice" system is still used. Political parties and holders of public office are often controlled by the wealthy… [cont.]

What should a mother do when her 14 daughter comes home from Mexico with a permanent tattoo on her body?
Q. What should a mother do when her 14 daughter comes home from Mexico with a permanent tattoo on her body? She was in Mexico with her father and was there with her mothers consent. She does not want it removed and this was legal under Mexican law. This was not illegal under US law, because US law has no jurisdiction over Mexico. The mother and daughter are nationals of the USA and Russia and have passports of both countries. The mother is a naturalized US citizen and the daughter was born in the United States.

A. Nothing you can do, except force her to have it removed, but that apparently leaves a pretty nasty scar. The daughter, presumably had her father's blessing to do this; but I'd be bolloxing him pretty hard -- did he at least check out the sterility of the equipment being used on the girl? or was he so busy trying to score "cool dad" points that thoughts of her long term health escaped him?
