A. Go to for all retailers. Now, wal-mart sells one in the sporting goods dept., but it's cheaply made. See the review under the hillbilly golf talk board.

can you make a ladder golf set with tennis balls instead of golf balls?
Q. I just think tennis balls would be much safer then golf balls with kids around.

A. Sure, you would just have to adjust the fittings a bit, hope this helps...

question about ladder golf (aka "bolo toss")...??
Q. I've looked for the answer on the 'net, but can't find it... my bro-in-law insists that a ball wrapped around the vertical post, but that is, then, hanging over (but not *ON*) the step, is worth points. I told him the rules state that points only come from wrapping the bolo around or hanging the bolo ON the steps, NOT the sides. ["...scoring is determined by the bolas that are still hanging from the steps."] who is right?

Would you purposely climb a social ladder to reach your goal?

Asked by Sixpacks L - Sat Aug 23 00:21:11 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. No. I see this goal as being superficial and low in what should be a person's priorities in life. It doesn't say anything good about the person who chooses to be a social climber. Relationships are far more important as is integrity & contributing to the betterment of society. In other words, being a person with character.

Housewarming Raffle in exchange for DVD's? Tacky or Okay?!?
Q. I am having my housewarming in August. I was thinking of creative ideas for doing a raffle... we will have ladder golf and bocci ball tourney's (for prices such as gift cards, candles, housewares, etc). I think this would be a fun way to get my guests involved with the party/activities. Another thought I had was to ask people to bring a copy of their favorite/recommended movie (new/used/copied, etc) to help me expand my movie collection ( i own less than 20) and in exchange they will be entered into a higher end drawing for gift cards (appx 20-25.00 in value) and pricer items... is this tacky or not? I am not registering for gifts (which i feel is tacky) but i wasnt sure if this would be overstepping?! If it is noted on the invite, how… [cont.]

Has any person been lost in space yet?
Q. just read about the Russian hitting a golf ball into earths orbit. He hit it from a ladder - off the space station, not from earth lol - how hard would it be to retrieve a drifting astronought? or would it be impossible?

A. no one lost in space- so far as we know. Russians and chinese are not known for their free press... rescue in space? depends how the guy would fall and how much extra fuel did the rescue crew have. It might be more economical to leave him be and instead of turning back- pick him up on the next orbit. But it really is a case of vectors and velocities also available space (eg close to the atmosphere) and how much air (etc) the guy has.

Best Way to ream out PVC?
Q. I am building a Ladder Golf set. The instructions I have say to slip the 3/4" diameter PVC inside of the 1" diameter PVC. It does not fit. Rather than sand down the O.D. of the 3/4", I want to open up the inside of the 1". Sanding will take too long. What is the best way to do this? My first thought was drill, but it needs to be 3/4" outside diameter. The only one that will fit inside a 3/8" drill is a wood spade drill. This will not make a clean, round hole. It will grab and wobble. Next I though about grinder or round file of some sort. I don't know where to get what I need. Any suggestions? This Ladder Golf game uses 3/4" elbows and Tees, with only abou 2" of 3/4" PVC sticking out of them. The idea is to slip the 1" PVC… [cont.]

Will someone help me with the wording for my invitations?
Q. I am having a laid back wedding at a beautiful park surrounded by 22 acres of woods. I want to make the invitations simple and nice but not to the formal degree. We are having a lot of homecooked foods and we are also having things like cornhole and ladder golf for people to play. There is a play ground for the kids (I have a 3 year old so it's a very kid friendly wedding) and a huge indoor lodge for the reception along with a huge outdoor pavilion. I know that the tone of the invitation lets people know how formal the wedding will be so I want it to show a casual (khaki and nice shirt type deal, sun dresses, etc.) However I can't seem to figure out the wording without it being formal. I want this quote on it, one being by Dr. Seuss "You [cont.]

A. How about the quote at the top, then say your names then "would love it if you came to celebrate our wedding! It is being held on October 3rd, 2009 at Wachusett Ski Lodge. The party starts at 4!" keep it light and airy and if you don't spell out the date and time, people should get the picture that it isn't very formal.

A. Well I am warning you I am blunt, and brutally honest. So if you get your feelings hurt, I really want you to stop reading right now, because I don't think I could handle reading this either, I am not the nicest person. I will however give you constructive critisism. One, grammar, spelling, word missuse, big problems, and it is irritating to notice those while reading, have a few people read over and edit, it's not a big deal, but you should work on it. Second, you definately need a stronger begining, your opening sentence is boring, if I hadn't already commited to reading this, I wouldn't have read any farther. Third, Don't worry so much about giving a long history of every single character as you introduce them the first time in… [cont.]

Also many black inventors were never recognized because they were not given credit for their inventions but the first white person to discover and take credit for their invention would be rewarded. Black inventions include but are not limited to: Air Conditioning Unit Frederick M. Jones July 12, 1949 Almanac Benjamin Banneker Approx. 1791 Auto… [cont.]
