Full Service Facts

Full service is a term that has many different uses. In general the term implies that the customer will receive as much service as is reasonably possible.

Gas station

A full service gas station indicates that besides pumping your fuel, the attendant will also wash your windows and check your vehicle's fluids. While obsolete in many places, it is legally mandated in the U.S. states of New Jersey and Oregon.

Hotels

Full availability of requisite standardized industry amenities; not limited to, but including the following: on-premise restaurants, room service, business center, concierge, fitness center, banquet halls, various room type selection (suites, etc.)

Car wash

A full service car wash indicates that in addition to simple washing your vehicle, the attendants will wash the interior glass, vacuum the interior and clean the seats.

Radio

A full service radio format consists of a mixture of news, music and talk shows, aimed toward a wide audience.

A. Dude, don't you just have your girlfriend do it to you? Just open the sports page, and you'll see the ads there. When you walk in, just tell them you would like a massage. They will ask you what type. If you don't know what type you want, ask for a description of each type. If you are paying money, you should know what you are getting. A lot of people post questions here looking for a little more for a massage. Be careful if you are asked if you want a "happy ending". That's going to be a lot extra.

A. Way back in my youth in the mid 60,s I worked part time in a full service station. Gas then cost 65 cents a gallon. My pay was 65 cents an hour.A can of oil was 25 cents. And gas wars were really gas wars, often dropping the gas price to 25 cents. But in today' s economy, with the cost of a barrel of oil priced at 75 dollars or more, the service station employee would ask for a minimum wage of at least 10 bucks an hour to pump gas for customers, raising the gas price another 5 bucks to an already inflated 3 bucks a gallon. Those days are long gone.
