It is a broader term than "art", which as a description of a field usually means only the visual arts (comprising fine art, decorative art, architecture and crafts). Also, something like tae-kwon-doe is startable at any age, just find a martial arts center near you and sign up for classes. They have beginner classes for all age levels, so you can be in a group with people your age. I don't know much about karate, but in tae-kwon-doe you learn alot about discipline, respect, control, etc. Answered by Lulu - Wed Apr 15 19:59:59 2009 What is the best martial arts style for me?
Q. I am a 5'4.. 105 pound girl. I am extremely interested in learning some form of martial arts. However, I am a bit clueless on the different styles. I was wondering if anyone who is more experienced in the different styles could help me figure out the best style for me. I am looking for a powerful more offensive fighting style. I am asking those who know alot about martial arts to begin with. Please don't tell me to look into martial arts for myself and please don't give me dumb responses. Just those who'd like to give me their opinion on what fighting style… [cont.] Asked by Sara - Wed Apr 16 17:08:48 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments A. Some people might say that he was just an actor playing a tough guy on his movies. That may be true to some extent. But he was basically conditioned and exposed to fighting at an early age, due to the environment and neighborhood where he grew up. The main reason why I have shared this info with you is because, just like you, Bruce Lee was also small in stature.
